Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary

Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.

My name is Yuki, and I now live at Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary. I am currently looking for my “Forever Family”. I would love to bond and spend time with a relaxed and loving couple. I can be a bit shy sometimes, so lots of young ones running around may make me a little nervous. I am a cuddle bug, once I bond with you as you can see from my pictures with one of our kennel staff named Megan. I really want to please. I am a bit shy of phones and camera’s though. I would make a great companion for walks and watching movies with you. Please come and see me soon.

Yuki, an adoptable Australian Shepherd & Border Collie Mix in Lake Odessa, MI

Hello, I’m Gilbert! As you can see from my pictures, I’m pretty handsome. I’m learning new things everyday from the staff and volunteers here at Mackenzie’s. I was picked up as a stray as a youngster, so the staff and volunteers here have really helped me buckle down on my training and learning manners. In a quiet and patient home, I’m pretty confident that if I was in a home with one-on-one attention, I could really blossom with my training.

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue look to find dogs and sometimes cats in their care forever homes with the help of foster homes.  Here are their pets of the week.

My name is Maggie and my foster parents tell me that I am a sweetheart. I am a 50 lb American Staffordshire Terrier mix who came to Hearts of Hope from Louisiana. Shortly after I got here, I had eight puppies. I was a great mom! Since then, I’ve gone through heartworm treatment and I’ve been spayed. Now I’m looking for my forever home.

I love to play and learn new tricks for treats. I am fully house trained and crate trained. If you are sitting down, I love to curl up with you for some love. When we are in the backyard, I chase after toys and balls, but I don’t really know why the humans want them back. When my humans take me places, I’m great in a car.

I’d love a forever home with a fenced in yard for zoomies. I sometimes don’t know my own body space and could knock down small children without meaning to so a home without young kids would be best. I’m super sweet and affectionate. I love meeting new people who are kind. I am spayed, chipped andb up to date on vaccines. My adoption fee is $200.

Friendly Freddy! that about sums up this adorable and loving Corgi/ Blue Heeler mix.  Freddy is approximately 10 years old and weighs in at around 21 lbs.  Freddy loves to go out and he is so easy on walks.  Curiosity is his middle name, but he stays near the pack at all times, probably his herding instinct!!  He has an easy nature with other dogs and kids. He won’t play ball, but he sure loves to cuddle.  Freddy is house trained and crate trained. He is neutered, chipped and up to date on vaccines. His adoption fee is $175.
