Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary

Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.

Festus and Cletus have been at MAS for a while.  They came in together but would probably to better being adopted as an only dog in the home.

My name is Festus. My D.O.B. is 1/01/14. I have a brother here to named Cletus. We are both on the shy side. I was adopted but came back as a lot of things scared me while in the home. I think if I get adopted again I am going to need a retired couple that just wants a dog to love. A nice and quiet house with no real expectation on me to entertain anyone. Just be the loving guy I am. I would love a big yard to sniff in, but I am not the most social guy as far as getting out on the town. I am more of a home body. Just want to hang out with my calm and loving people. Please come and visit me soon.

Festus is on the right.

Cletus is such a sweet and loving boy. He is the volunteers favorite at Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary. He just wants to know you, and bond with you. Once he does the sun rises, and sets with you. He wants to be your constant companion. He is shy and needs his new family to really want to work with him. He just needs a quiet laid back environment, without too much activity. Just hanging out, walks, and cuddling.

Cletus is on the right.

Vicky’s Pet Connection

Vicky’s Pet Connection works with the Kent County Animal Shelter to rescue cats and kittens.  They also take in dogs older in age and those needing special care. Here are their pets of the week.

This exotic beauty is Dixie and she had a one-night fling with a tomcat that got her in a world of trouble! She ended up pregnant and alone with lots of babies to feed. She did a great job with them, has her pre-pregnancy body back and is now looking for a lasting friendship! She is such a sweet girl and totally deserving of some spoiling. How about it?

Check out this little scoundrel! This is Bandit and he is a stinkin’ adorable 4-5 month old baby. He’s such a fun little fellow and totally ready to move out into the world to start his life. Meet him and prepare to fall in love with this spunky, little guy!

Carol’s Ferals

Carol’s Ferals specializes in trap, neuter, return (TNR), but they come across “friendlies” who are available for adoption. Here are their pets of the week.

Kitten season is almost over, but Carol’s Ferals still has some.  We having loving ones, shy ones, and playful ones.  Come visit and check them out.

Looking for a friendly lap cat?  Come ask for me, Brahms, and I’ll show you what love is.  I enjoy people, but not fond of other cats especially when it comes to getting attention.  I may do okay with a dog, as long as you give me lots of attention, too.

Hi there, I’m Namiko.  I follow people around looking for love and pets.  I don’t care much for being held, but have been known to sit on a lap or two.  I love to chase the red dot and be petted.  I’d be your perfect companion, as long as you don’t want to cuddle.

I’m Brynn and I love to play and drink water out of the faucet.  If you have a cat exercise wheel, I’ll show you how fast I can run!  I am beautiful and sweet with people, but other cats annoy me.
