“Thanks for noticin’ me” – Eeyore
I might share my name with a gloomy donkey, but I am anything but! Unlike the depressive Disney character, I am a loveable guy with my human companions. I like to lean in for some snuggles and give sweet little kisses. Because I appreciate entering new friendships at a slower pace, I would be best in a calm home. As with many rescue dogs that have had the unfortunate background of being abandoned, I am looking for someone to bring me home and spend some extra time to help me really get comfortable.
Some of my highlighting traits are that I am crate trained, I know a few commands already, I love to swim (as long as I can touch the bottom), and I am treat motivated. This will come in handy when I go home and we start working on building a solid foundation for our friendship! My toys are one of my most favorite parts of life! I love to carry toys with me on walks, play fetch, and hangout on my doggy bed to entertain myself.
I have made some canine friends here, and am open to potentially having a doggy playmate when I go home too! I would be happiest without a kitty sibling though.
If your interested in meeting me, check out the Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary website below, and make sure you include my name on your adoption application! Submit your application!

Bruce is a 6 pound, 4 year old Chihuahua Mix with the most adorable little face and the cutest personality !! We love him. He can be a touch shy at first, but it doesn’t take long before he’s a little love bug who snuggles his humans, goes for walks, and does impersonations of TV characters – Joey Tribbiani and Chandler Bing and are his favorites. Bruce is almost house trained and crate trained, and he does well with cats, and respectful dogs and humans. His adoption fee is $275. To adopt Bruce apply here.
