Game 96: A Baker Does It
Baker Mayfield believes in making good first impressions. Mayfield–who had only been a Ram for a matter of hours–led LA on an improbable 98-yard game-winning drive with no timeouts and 1:45 left, capping it all off with with a 23-yard scoring strike to Van Jefferson. The Raiders came in hot and went up 16-3 before Mayfield started cooking and cut the lead to 16-10 after a 17-play, 75-yard drive with 3:15 left. A quick Las Vegas 3-and-out and AJ Cole’s 64-yard punt set the stage for Baker’s improbable heroics.
On the GridCard, amcmayonnaise (44) followed up her Perfect 45 with a Second Game win and posted an incredible King Kong (89). The GridCard played loose, allowing three other TallBoys: Go Bucs (41), Winky (41), and Kara (40) and fourteen other Qualifying Scores: JeepCreeper (39), LD (39), Jeep Lover 2 (37), jocko (36) Jodyann (35), DonovanDup (34), tinksdust (33), AK (33), Butch (33), Found Fish (32), Ricco1947 (32), Annabelle (32), BabyMac (32), and Heart of a Hooligan (31).
Team GridCard featured several high scores, paced by Team Detwiler’s 84-65 win over the PGT, TallBoys by amcmayonnaise (44) and Kara (40) leading the way. VBar also broke 80, taking down LFL 80-69 behind Winky (41) and LD (39). Team Collins edged Fictionasy 76-65. JeepCreeper (39) and Jeep Lover 2 (37) were Top2. And jocko (36) and Kevin K (29) scored for the OG who picked up a much-needed win, edging TMac 65-50.

Game 95: Frogs Fall
TCU’s pursuit of a perfect season came up short. But how short? Replays showed Max Duggan’s lunge for the goal line in OT was only a couple inches shy of the goal line; however officials marked the ball two and a half feet away. The Frogs had two more chances to jam it in, but KState’s D-Line stuffed Kendre Miller both times. Five running plays later, Ty Zenter kicked a 31-yarder to give KSU a 31-28 win over TCU and the Big 12 Championship.
On the GridCard, amcmayonnaise (45) earned the rare Mirror, Mirror–a Perfect 45–calling all nine games correctly. This was amcmayonnaise’s first Hamlin-Hopper of the year. Nine other players posted Qualifying Scores: Teunesto (38), macs detail (36), KLC (33), DonovanDup (33), AK (32), EricCinTexas (31), Kara (30), Rico (30), and Butch (29).
In Team GridCard action, Team Detwiler earned Gm95 Honors, beating the PGT 75-70 behind Sister Act amcmayonnaise (45) and Kara (30). TMac took down the OG 64-50, macs detail (36) and Nutmeg (28) leading the way. LFL defeated VBar 61-57, DonovanDup (33) and ElmerGlueGun (28) earning Top2. Team Collins got scoring from KLC (33) and EricCinTexas (31) and defeated Fictionasy 64-55.
