Here I am…hanging out in my room at the sanctuary….doing my best to ignore the annoying banter of the surrounding dogs. Yes, it’s my turn! One of my human companions stopped at my gate! I am filled with complete joy and utter excitement, because I know what this meansI Politely, I follow my human friend through the door and to my favorite place, the gym! My leash comes off and ZOOM!!! As fast as my tiny legs can take me (which is surprisingly quick) I speed through the room, leaving all the stress in my wake! Woah, hang on; I must show my gratitude for blessing me with the best part of my day! I’m comin’ in hot for appreciative snuggles and relaxing belly rubs before continuing my zooms!
The only thing that could make this moment perfect, is if it never ended. I know my friends at MAS would take me home if I could be their only dog… Granted, I am not a dog for everybody, I have my quirks (don’t we all). An experienced person that is well versed in doggy language would be best equipped to handle my personality. I can be a little bit of a stinker sometimes….I have a tendency to overthink sometimes and it gives me some anxiety; and I don’t like to share my things.
Honestly though, everyone has a past that’s resulted in some less than desirable emotional (and sometimes physical) scars. MAS truly is a sanctuary for pups like me with a little more baggage than your average pup. Though building a bond with me takes a little bit of time, I think I am worth it….as long as there is healthy mutual respect…there is much reward to be had in finding a friend like me!
Potential adopters should be aware that I am a will require several meetings to nurture the beginnings of our partnership before I am able to go home with you.
If your like MAS and believe that everyone deserves another chance, submit your adoption application at the website below! Submit your application!
